Where do you ship?
Right now, we ship across the mainland of the US. But we would love to expand to ship across north America.
There is a book I want that you don’t have, can I request it?
Of course! Head over to our contact page or send an email to: thejunierreader@gmail.com and let us know what you would like and we will see if we can accommodate your request.
Can I design the custom covers?
We can certainly work together to design a cover you like. When filling out the original request let us know what specifically you would like to see on the cover and we can communicate from there about the design. However, we hold the right to turn down designs at our discretion.
Do you repair books?
Yes! If you have a book that needs repair or a new cover, we can take a look. Contact us on our website or by emailing us and send photos of the book(s) in need of repair. Please note, if we respond that we can service the book, payment will be negotiated based on estimated labor cost and materials and shall be paid before the service is performed.
Where do you get your herbal teas from?
Right now, we source our teas from local herbal farms and small businesses here in Maryland. However, our goal is to grow our own herbs for all blends here at The Juniper Reader.
How long have you been making book covers?
My very first job in high school was book and textbook repair. While I haven’t been making new book covers on a regular basis since then, I can still say I’ve been doing this type of activity for a very… long… time.
Why are you called The Juniper Reader?
When I was first playing around with the idea of a bookstore and tea shop that pairs a blend to a book, I also started playing around with herbal teas. At the very beginning of this process, my partner came home from a conference in Europe and had gotten me juniper berries to make tea out of. It was one of my first attempts and it was quite meaningful, therefore, The Juniper Reader was born.
